Get ready to ride the epic moving sand dunes of the Worimi Conservation Lands in Port Stephens - This is not your average day out!
Your adventure kicks off with a scenic 4WD ride across the massive golden dunes, taking you far away from the crowds and into our private and secluded sand boarding area. Once you arrive, one of our friendly instructors will show you how to safely sandboard, whether you want to sit and slide , or stand and surf! Don’t worry it’s super easy to learn and fun for all ages!
You can choose from a range of different boards, both with and without bindings. We have 3 types of boards for you to try - sit down, basic stand up, and Pro Stand up (suitable for experienced snowboarders only). Or pair up with a buddy and ride tandem sit down. Our dune playground has something for every confidence level, from total beginners to experienced snow boarders.
Need a break? We’ve got you covered. Kick back in the shaded picnic area with tables and chairs - the perfect spot to enjoy your own snacks and drinks whilst soaking up epic panoramic views of the dunes and forest. It’s also a great spot to enjoy your picnic lunch. And yes, it’s totally Insta-worthy!
Best of all? It’s unlimited Sandboarding fun so you can stay and play as long as you like. Most people will generally stay 1-2 hours. There is a shuttle to the dunes and back every 15 minutes, so when you are ready to head back just hop on the next shuttle. The ticket includes one ride to sand dunes and one ride back.

- Sandboarding is not recommended for those with limited mobility, existing injuries, or pregnant women
- However everyone can join the 4WD trip to dunes as spectators, and relax in the picnic area. Please let the supplier know if you or a member of your group is pregnant
- Children aged 3 and under are free of charge
- Tours may be cancelled at short notice in the case of inclement weather including heatwaves, torrential rain, or gale force winds
