Travel through the most magical mountain in Patagonia. Travel to El Chaltén from El Calafate to venture on this trekking to Laguna de los Tres, at the foot of the famous Mount Fitz Roy.
The excursion begins at 6:00 AM when the minibus picks you up from your accommodation in El Calafate.
You will enjoy breathtaking views of the Southern Andes, with the unmistakable silhouette of Mount Fitz Roy standing out.
Upon arrival in El Chaltén, each hiker receives their packed lunch.
The journey continues to the Piedras Blancas Viewpoint, followed by a trek to Laguna Capri. This is where you’ll have lunch before beginning the descent back to El Chaltén.
Next, you’ll proceed with one of the guides through the Poincenot Base Camp area, crossing a bridge over the Blanco River. From there, the trail becomes steeper, climbing approximately 430 meters over nearly 3 kilometers to reach the highlight of the journey: Laguna de los Tres.
The group arrives at a morainic ridge offering a spectacular view of the Fitz Roy massif in all its glory, with Laguna and Glaciar De los Tres at its base.
It’s sure to be the perfect moment for lunch, allowing you to savor the incredible view and create unforgettable memories.

- Ages: from 10 to 55 years old. This is not a strict limit, but for older participants, it is necessary that they practice trekking or hiking and have a good physical condition to walk in the mountains, considering that it is a medium to high difficulty hike.

- Upon arrival in El Chaltén, around 8:30 AM, there will be a brief stop for those who wish to use the restroom before starting the hike.
- Those unsure about continuing with the second, more demanding section of the hike will proceed with one of the two guides as GROUP 2 to the stunning Laguna Capri, another must-see attraction in El Chaltén.
- GROUP 1 will continue with the other guide through the Poincenot Base Camp area, crossing the Blanco River bridge. From there, over nearly 3 kilometers to reach the highlight of the trek: Laguna de los Tres.
- 7:00 PM, depart for El Calafate
